Get ready the Oscars just released the nominations for the 89th Academy Awards which will be held on the 26th February 2017 hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theater Los Angeles. This year La La Land has taken the nod for most nominated movie with a total of 14 nominations of which no other movie has been able to achieve since 1997's James Cameron's Titanic. Other huge nominations include Octavia Spencer for her role in Hidden Figures, Naomie Harris for her role in the movie Moonlight, and the amazing Viola Davis for her spectacular role in the popular movie Fences which also starred Denzel Washington.
The award ceremony always rakes in millions of views worldwide with not only the nominations and winners being the talk of the night but also the red carpet which most tune in to see their favorite celebrities in some of the worlds most luxurious and expensive couture ensembles from the biggest designers across the globe. The 89th Academy Awards is something you will not want to miss out on this year so pencil the date in your diary get your popcorn ready because its going to be one to remember.
