The Oscars 2017

The 89th Academy Awards took place several hours ago in the iconic Dolby Theater Hollywood. The annual award ceremony was hosted by 'Jimmy Kimmel' and saw the very best in Hollywood scoop up the golden statue for their work during 2016.The show opened up with a fun, loving performance from none other than 'Justin Timberlake' who performed the number #1 track "Cant Stop The Feeling" from the hit blockbuster movie 'Trolls' and the irresistible 'Timberlake' had the hole audience on their feel dancing; other performances came from 'John Legend' who took to the stage singing "City Of Stars" from the most nominated movie of the year 'La La Land' who were nominated for an astonishing 14 awards.
What would an award ceremony be however without a few hiccups along the way and the Oscars proved this theory including 'Auli'i  cravalho' being hit in the head with a ribbon twirler during her performance of the animated movie "Moana's" hit song "How Far I'll Go". But the most talked about mishaps of the night came from the the announcement of the incorrect winner, 'Warren Beatty' and 'Faye Dunnaway' were reading out the winner for best picture however were given the wrong envelope which lead to "La La Land" believing they had won the gong when in-fact the award actually went to "Moonlight". No one knows exactly how this mistake occurred however some are suggesting that this was an error of the producers behind the show while others state PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers) are to blame as they annually tally the votes for the prestigious award ceremony; even though the confusion was surprising to say the least, the award was eventually giving to the rightful owner "Moonlight". Were sure this mishaps will lead to the finger being pointed in a particular direction but until then all of Hollywood is speculating.

The red carpet however went down without a glitch with all the nominees looking absolutely splendid in some of the worlds most expensive and sought after gowns known to man. Gold seemed to be a trend this season which we have seen this year from other huge red carpet events, taking a fashion lesson from the Oscar's gold statue stars such as 'Emma Stone' wearing (Givenchy) & 'Jessica Biel' wearing (Kaufman Franco) rocked the gold vibe and looked delightful doing so providing the perfect silhouette on the night.
While other stars such as 'Taraji P. Hensson' stepped out in a classic vintage inspired gown by (Alberta Ferretti) and served us with chi'c glam all the way. The red car[pet was gleaming all night and the stars proved they were not playing an games when it came down to their iconic red carpet looks. Who do you think provided the best red carpet look on the night? and is worthy of taking the title of best dressed, take a peep at some of the looks from the 2017 Oscars.

Screen Actors Guild Awards 2017

SAG Awards Red Carpet

The 23rd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place last night in Los Angeles California's Shrine Auditorium. The ceremony honored the best in television and film performances giving out the prestigious awards for the amazing acting ability showcased throughout the year. There were some huge winners on the night including La La Land, Hidden Figures along with some heart felt and emotional speeches from Mahershala Ali and Taraji P. Henson who both touched on current issues. The red carpet also made quite the stir last night as the celebs pulled out their A Game to take a pit stop for the paparazzi before embellishing on the nights festivities. We have some of the best looks for the SAG Awards and for us there was no doubt that Taraji P.Henson stole the show in a Reem Acra sheer embellished princess cut gown with suede bow detail along with jewelry by Nirav Modi, Mz Taraji really did shine bright like a diamond and looked outstanding doing so.
