#TBT Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation
The perfect way to bring the week to a close , 'Janet Jackson's' Rhythm Nation is our Throwback Thursday with this classic dance floor track. The 1989 cult classic was taken from the album "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1849" which was 'Janet's' fourth studio album. 'Janet' was from this point considered a role model concentration on issues such as racism, substance abuse and poverty throughout her lyrical content on the album. The album became 'Janet's' second consecutive album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 and was a certified six times platinum by (Recording Industry Association Of America). Today this classic hit, amazing choreography and military costume still holds relevancy and has been sampled in other music videos/performances/Halloween costumes and dance routines which just goes to show why 'Mrs. Janet Jackson' is and always has been an icon.
