#FBF Grace Jones







Today our Flashback Friday goes to the unapologetic, artistic super talented muse 'Grace Jones'. 'Grace' was born in "Spanish Town Jamaica" at the age of 13 she moved to "New York" with her siblings to live with her parents. She began modelling not so long after arriving in the "Big Apple" working for established brands such as "Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo Takada and Claude Montana", also appearing on the biggest magazines in the world including "Elle and Vogue". In 1977 'Grace' signed a record deal with "Island Records" and began working on her debut album "Portfolio" which was released the same year. During her music career 'Grace' delighted us with classic club tracks including "Pull Up To My Bumper, Private Life, I've Seen That Face Before" and many more. 'Grace' also took to acting in the early 80's staring in hit classic movies including "Conan The Destroyer, Boomerang, A View To Kill" and many more. 'Grace' has become an iconic legend throughout the years making waves with her bold, edgy and simply one of a kind fashion statements and her undeniable talents; 'Grace Jones' is still making a huge influence in modern culture today music, art and the fashion world still reference 'Grace' as one of the most iconic legendary muses of all time.
