Today our Flashback Friday goes to the iconic and mesmerizing singer songwriter and all round super talent Mz. Lady Gaga with her first Grammy performance back in 2010. The eclectic musician performed her hit track poker face in an envious green Armani Priv'e em"bellished ensemble before being joined on stage with the legend that is Elton John both singing Your Song & Speechless" accompanied by a grand piano. The performance was epic to say the least placing Lady Gaga on the map as a solidified icon, with an all round theatrical performance, amazing choreography and an out of this world set design; this first Grammy performance really labeled Gaga as the ultimate queen of pop pushing boundaries in fashion and music carving out her longevity in the entertainment industry.   7 years on Lady Gaga has become a global icon and house hold name releasing a total of 5 albums including her most recent "Joanne" which became Gaga's fourth album to reach number one in the US. Lady Gaga can be seen next month at the Super Bowl where she will be performing a live set of all her classic number one tracks during the half time show, now that's one performance you wont want to miss.

#FBF The Supremes 

Today our Flashback Friday is for the Queen of divas and the first girl group to receive world wide recognition 'The Supremes'. 'The Supreems' were all born and raised in "Detroit Michigan" and consisted of 'Diana Ross, Mary Wilson & Florence Ballard'; in 1961 the trio signed to "Motown Records" after visiting the recording studio everyday after school to tempt record executive 'Berry Gordy' to sign them to the critically acclaimed record label. Before the trio signed to the label 'Gordy' made the ladies contribute on other Motown artist records such as Marvin Gaye & Mary Wells with hand-claps and background vocals. 'The Supremes' first number one hit was "Where Did Our Love Go" reaching number one on the US Pop Charts; they followed with hit after hit including "Baby Love", "Come See About Me", Stop! In The Name Of Love" and many many more reaching world wide success the group were given the title "Americas Most Successful Vocal Group". Even after the groups split during the 1970's they have gone down in history as the most iconic girl-group of all time with their glamorous gowns and slick hairstyles, the group have inspired many Girlbands even today within the music industry and many have based their careers on the trio who paved the way for many. 'The Supreems' will forever and always be an important part of music history and and continue to receive royalties on their song's even today.

#FBF Finding Nemo

Today our Flashback Friday is for the underwater journey that is "Finding Nemo". The movie hit our screens in 2003 staring 'Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Alexander Gould & Willem Dafo'; the movie conveys the story of 'Marlin and Dory' two fish on a journey to find 'Dory's' abducted son 'Nemo' all the way to Sydney Australia encountering some friends and some very dangerous teeth along the way. The movie grossed $936 million on its initial release and became the highest grossing movie of 2003 as well as winning an 'Academy Award' for the "Best Animated Feature".  "Finding Nemo" has become a kids favorite over the years with hundreds of merchandise sold worldwide and in 2008 the 'American Film Institute' named it the 10th greatest animated film ever made as part of their 10 top 10 lists. The Sequel to the hit animated movie "Finding Dory" is set for release this summer and if "Finding Nemo" is anything to go by "Finding Dory" will be a box office smash.

Our Flashback Friday is for the 1980's classic action film "Scarface" staring 'Al Pachino, Michelle Pfeiffer, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio'. The movie depicts the story of 'Tony Montana' a Cuban refugee arriving to miami during the disco era, he climbs the power ladder becoming one of the most powerful drug lords around crushing anything that stands in his way. The movie grossed over $44 million on its initial release however critics at the time were not so keen on the amount of violence and drug use the film contained. "Scarface" has become one of the most recognized mob film in the world and is seen by many as one of the best mob movies ever made; with slogans such as Say hello to my little friend still being referenced today.

"If there's something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call" ??? Today our Flash Back Friday is for the classic childhood movie franchise 'Ghostbusters'. Our first encounter with the 'Ghostbusters' was back in 1984 when the first installment of the movie franchise hit our big screens thanks to Columbia Pictures, the movie was a huge success worldwide and opened up a world of material taken from the film including; comic books, toys, video games, television series and a theme park. The second movie released in 1989 titled "Ghostbusters II" was a huge success also grossing over $200 Million and becoming the eighth highest grossing movie of 1989.Now with a third edition coming to us in 2016 'Ghostbusters' are making a comeback after 17 years 'Ghostbusters' are returning to save the city of New York and dominate the big screen.

#FBF Grace Jones

Today our Flashback Friday goes to the unapologetic, artistic super talented muse 'Grace Jones'. 'Grace' was born in "Spanish Town Jamaica" at the age of 13 she moved to "New York" with her siblings to live with her parents. She began modelling not so long after arriving in the "Big Apple" working for established brands such as "Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo Takada and Claude Montana", also appearing on the biggest magazines in the world including "Elle and Vogue". In 1977 'Grace' signed a record deal with "Island Records" and began working on her debut album "Portfolio" which was released the same year. During her music career 'Grace' delighted us with classic club tracks including "Pull Up To My Bumper, Private Life, I've Seen That Face Before" and many more. 'Grace' also took to acting in the early 80's staring in hit classic movies including "Conan The Destroyer, Boomerang, A View To Kill" and many more. 'Grace' has become an iconic legend throughout the years making waves with her bold, edgy and simply one of a kind fashion statements and her undeniable talents; 'Grace Jones' is still making a huge influence in modern culture today music, art and the fashion world still reference 'Grace' as one of the most iconic legendary muses of all time.

Today our Flashback Friday is for the classic 1942 movie close to everyone's hearts 'Casablanca'. The romantic drama staring 'Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman & Paul Henreid' was based on the stage play "Everybody Comes To Rick's" produced by 'Murry Burnett and Joan Alison'. Set in World War II the film depicts the life of an American expatriate who has to make a tricky choice between his love for a beautiful woman or helping her Czech Resistance leader husband escape the Vichy-controlled city of 'Casablanca' to continue his fight against the Nazis. 'Casablanca' has gone onto become one of the most iconic films in movie history making millions throughout the years also winning numerous awards including Best Picture, Director and Adapted Screenplay; a certified watch with the girl's or your boyfriend (if he doesn't mind romantic flicks) so get the popcorn ready #Movienight.

#FBF First Ever Fashion Week 

Today were giving our Flashback Friday to the first ever Fashion Week which launched in 1943 in the city of New York. The first New York Fashion Week was held to distract French fashion during World War II; Workers in the fashion industry we unable to travel to Paris. This was the perfect opportunity as before World War II, American designers were taught to rely on French couture for inspiration. The event was originally called Press Week and was organised by Publicist Eleanor Lambert who put the even together to showcase the work of American designers who's work had previously been ignored by journalists. Eleanor's work took over the world with Paris holding couture show's in 1945 and Fashion week in 1973, Milan in 1958 and London in 1984. 

Fashion Week speaks volumes across the globe not only for the celebrities that attend the shows but the art and creative process behind the runways; garments taking months to create with some of the worlds most luxury fabrics and embellishments. Fashion as we know it is a way of life and can show the world your character or mood just through what you wear, a lifestyle that brings the world in unity no matter where or who you are.

#FBF Romy & Michele's High School Reunion

Today our Flashback Friday goes to the super funny classic comedy "Romy & Michele's High School Reunion". The 1997 gut busting comedy stars 'Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino' The film depicts the friendship of 'Romy & Michele' 10 years after leaving high school they realize they still have not accomplished much with their lives, they hear about their upcoming high school reunion and use the opportunity to show their old high school students just how much their lives have changed. Until their lie is found out and things take a turn for the worst, just how are they going to prove to their piers that they have secured a fabulous life for themselves. This movie will have you chuckling throughout and the infamous dance scene is one that's gone down in history as one of the most comical dance scenes of all time.

Today our Flashback Friday is the classic all time family favorite movie "Home Alone". The 1990 fun packed film stared 'Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Candy, Catherine O'Hara & John Heard'. The plot of the movie was based around a family trip to Paris of which 8 year old 'Kevin (Macaulay Culkin)' was left behind after a family feud the night before. 'Kevin' arose the morning of the trip and realized his family has left without him, but that's not all of 'Kevin's' troubles when he encounters robbers who see the family home as their next target. 'Kevin' takes matters into his own hands when he steps up to the plate in defending his home just in time for the return of his family. The blockbuster movie franchise has gone onto have 4 sequels of which include "Home Alone 2 Lost In New York, Home Alone 3, Home Alone 4 & Home Alone The Holiday Heist". The entire franchise has grossed over $1,829.52408 since the first film debuted in the 90's making this one of the biggest family holiday films of all time.

Today our Flashback Friday is one of the biggest movies of all time 'Grease'. The 1978 musical romantic classic stared 'Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta' and its success it still apparent today. 'Grease' was a successful box office smash grossing over $387,513,770 worldwide as well as the soundtrack to the movie which was the best selling album of the year ending 1978. The movie was an adaptation of the 1971 musical written by 'Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey' with additional music by 'John Farrar'; the 'Grease' movement took over the world with the movie having several re-releases a sequel 'Grease 2' released 1982 and the musical still going strong worldwide making 'Grease' one of the worlds biggest and most recognized musicals ever.

#FBF The Wizard Of Oz 

Today our Flashback Friday is the all time family favorite "The Wizard Of Oz". The 1939 cult classic made history throughout the years becoming one of the worlds most iconic movies of all time. Staring 'Judy Garland, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr, Ray Bolger, Frank Morgan, Margaret Hamilton' each cast member brought the iconic characters to life with amazing costume, songs & dance and impeccable acting. Somewhere Over The Rainbow by 'Harold Arlenand and E.Y. Harburg' sung by 'Judy Garland' became her signature song and won an "Academy Award for best original song". In 2011 the musical to the movie opened in London's Palladium directed by 'Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice & Jeremy Sams'; the spectacular musical went on to dazzle millions collecting awards along the way for "Best Musical Revival & Best Supporting Actress In A Musical". The theatrical adaptation has also taken over North America with a musical production of the more followed by a North America Tour.

Tina Turner 

Today our Flashback Friday goes to the icon that is 'Tina Turner', formally known as '(Anna Mae Bullock)' 'Tina's' career began back in the 50's as a featured singer for "Ike Turner's Kings Of Rythem" under the name 'little Ann' before she made her epic introduction in 1960 as a member of "Ike & Tina Turner Revue". It was during this time 'Tina Turner' made great classics of which are historical within the world of music and is still referenced today such as River Deep -Mountain High, Proud Mary, A Fool In Love and Nutbush City Limits. 'Tina' once on her solo path was a force to be reckoned with as she gained success in her own right with top hits such as "Whats Love Got To Do With It, Private Dancer and Lets Stay Together"  which led her to win numerous awards worldwide and a string of billboard chart toppers making her one of the most iconic music figures in history.

Beetlejuice

Today our Flashback Friday is the wild and wacky 80's classic 'Beetlejuice'. The cult classic directed by Tim Burton stared 'Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Winona Ryder, Geena Davis & Catherine O'Hara'  showed the lives of married couple 'Barbara & Adam Maitland' whom tragically loose their lives in a car accident, stuck haunting their home and unable to leave they stumble upon the spirit that is 'Beetlejuice' but things begin to take a turn for the worst as 'Beetlejuice' becomes the 'Maitlands' worst nightmare. There have been whispers in the wind about a sequel recently and Winona is spilling the beans. "I think I can confirm it, it was very hush hush top secret.....but then Tim was doing some press for 'Big Eyes' and he said yeah, were doing it, Winona's going to be in it......if he can say it, i can". said the actress on 'Late Night with Seth Myers'. We have our fingers crossed for the sequel, but in the mean time this will be a most definite watch over the weekend.

Today's flashback Friday goes to the uber talented and artistic 'Missy Misdemeanor Elliot'. 'Missy' took to the charts back in 1997 with her debut album "Supa Dupa Fly" and the addictive lead single from the album  "The Rain" which certified 'Missy' a platinum debut album and was the first encounter the public had of 'Missy' being at the front line. 'Missy Elliot' has been known for her songwriting skills and her collaborative relationship with Timberland, producing some of the hottest tracks of all time. Hocus pocus

It s Halloween weekend and what better way to honor the festivities than to reminisce on an old classic Hocus Pocus. The Disney adventure hit our big screens in 1993 and became iconic thereafter. Staring 'Bette Midler', 'Sarah Jessica Parker', 'Kathy Najimy', 'Thora Birch', 'Omri Katz' the film saw characters Max Dennison and Dani move to 'Salem', whilst in their new surroundings they accidentally uncover an evil like no other. With the help from a talking cat the kids are able to put the wicked witches to rest after a terror-sum night. This magical film has gone onto become legendary surrounding the Halloween holidays and still remains a favorite in our hearts.

'Bette Midler'  put on a spell binding performance during the cult classic "I put a spell on you" written by 'Jay Hawkins' in 1956 was selected as rock and rolls hall of fame 500 songs that shaped the rock and roll. The song also ranked No: 313 on rolling stones 500 greatest songs of all time.

Well we do!!!! Madonna at 25 hit the cover of Cosmopolitan  magazine back in 1990  Madonna later went on to feature on the cover again for their 50th anniversary edition of the hit magazine in May 2015. The Queen of pop has not aged during her reign in the charts and still looks fabulous as ever.
