Jean Paul Gaultier Spring Summer 2016 Show

Jean Paul Gaultier shut down Paris with his out of this world Spring Summer 2016 fashion show. Gaultier dedicated his collection to Edwinge Belmore a socialite of the Parisian and New York club scene, she was known for her edgy, quirky punk influenced fashion and was always pushing the boundaries. The runway was transformed into the interior of the famous Le Palace a nightclub in Paris famous for its celebrity party goers, fashion music and underground culture a nightclub also known for the infamous Edwinge Belmore deciding who would get inside the club or not. The collection to say the least was filled with 70's and 80's glam providing us with sequins, distressed denim, tuxedos, and lacy dresses. Jean Paul Gaultier did not disappoint giving us a unique flattering and high end twist on disco glam.

Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Fall 2015 - 2015

Jean Paul Gaultier brought Paris to their feet standing at attention during Haute Couture Fashion week. The designer drew inspiration from Breton using heavy weight fabrics against stripes and distinctive shapes; Gaultier really showed Paris Haute Couture is his arena and he is here to stay, especially since taking a break from Ready-To-Wear in 2014.

The Breton used quite heavily in Jean Paul Gaultier's work especially in his 1993 male perfume 'le male'  has become on of his most recognized trademark pieces. It is also said Gaultier requires his press team to wear a version of the design during his runway shows.
