MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017

The MTV Movie & TV Awards took place last night out in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium and the celebs set the red carpet ablaze in the latest fashion trends and ultra chi'c ensembles. The award ceremony hosted by Adam DeVine celebrates the best in Cinematic films and for the first year Television also. There were huge winners on the night including Beauty & The Beast for Best Movie, Taraji P. Henson for Best Hero for her role in the movie Hidden Figures, Ru Paul's Drag Race for Best Reality Show and a whole multitude of other great worthy winners on the night. There were also epic performances from Big Sean, Noah Cyrus & Pitbull featuring Camilla Cabello who all tore the house down during the award show.

Today our Woman Crush Wednesday goes to the Insanely talented, super sexy and uber curvy 'Nicki Minaj'. 'Onika Tanya Maraj' or as we know her 'Nicki' was born in Saint James Trinidad & Tobago and raised in South Jamaica Queens New York. 'Nicki' signed with Young Money Entertainment back in 2009 after releasing three mixtapes "Playtime Is Over, Sucka Free & Beam Me Up Scotty" which enabled her to receive female artist of the year in 2008 along with major TV coverage. In June 2010 'Nicki' released the first single "Your Love" from the album "Pink Friday" following other hit singles from the album "Right Thru Me" "Check It Out" making her the first female solo artist to have 7 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and the first woman to appear on the MTV annual hottest MC list. Nicki released her second album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" in 2012 and later that year also released "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up" which went onto land her the most charted female rapper in the history of the Billboard Hot 100. 'Nicki' released her third studio album "The Pink Print" in December 2014 along with hit singles taken from the album "Pills and Potions & Anaconda, Only and Feeling Myself" in 2015. 'Nicki' broke the record for most views in 24 hour on Vevo accumulating over 19.6 million views in 24 hours.

'Nicki' is now taking over the big screen staring in movies such as "Ice Age: The Continental Drift", "The Other Women" and now the highly anticipated third edition of the movie franchise 'Barbershop' "Barbershop The Next Cut" which is set for release Spring 2016. 'Nicki' has proved she is here to stay with an explosive music career which does not seem to be slowing down and now an acting career which is growing by the second; is there any slowing down for this super mogul? Bjork (It's Oh So Quiet)

Today our Throwback Thursday goes to the 90's classic music video by 'Bjork' (It's Oh So Quiet). This was 'Bjork's' third single from the album "Post" as still remains her biggest hit scoring her over 400,000 copies worldwide. The video which was shot in San Fernando Valley California was based on 'Jacques Demy's' 1964 film Les Parapluies De Cherbourg and featured a very theatrical performance from 'Bjork' and co-stars. 'Bjork' won the "MTV" video music award for best choreography, as well as various nominations from the "Grammy's, MTV" and many more. This video has become one of the most iconic videos of all time and has inspired many videos we see in today's pop culture.
