New York Fashion Week

Marc Jacobs Fall Winter 2017/2018

Marc Jacobs FW17/18 by FF Channel

New York welcomed the chic and ultra trendy fall winter Marc Jacobs fashion show as the collection was brought to the streets serving us sex and the city tease. The models cascaded down the runway in win a abandoned building before hitting the streets to display the funky 90's hip hop thesis. Neutral tones including browns, creams and hints of gold, black, blue and burgundy which were displayed throughout each piece distinctively and effectively leaving a satisfying and fulfilled taste in our mouths. The collection featured a multitude of varied looks yet somehow managed to still control and zone in on the overall inspiration behind the ensembles; over-sized plaid jackets, feather fringed dresses, knitted cardigans, flared trousers, fur coats along with sleek satin short dresses were all presented during the show just to name a few.
Each piece was matched with knee high thick heeled boots or a variation of Marc Jacobs platform shoe along with a hat and/or handbag accessory which really brought this unique stance on such a decadent and iconic era of fashion and music. The collection overall was genius and the fashion show itself was daring, bold and told a story by bringing the clothes front stage and center to the streets of NY; every year each Marc Jacobs collection displays a unique and true to form ideology of the thesis presented and the 2017/2018 Fall Winter collection followed in the footsteps of prior work, an outstanding and utterly innovative dream and a job well executed.

New York Fashion Week

Marc Jacobs
SS17 Collection

The incredible Marc Jacobs proved why he is King of the runway during New York Fashion Week as he unveiled his rave inspired electro party collection. A stary backdrop and runway supplied us with the all round element and vibe of this lady of the night collection. Marc Jacobs gave us the opportunity to over indulge in lace, denim, pvc, leather, and metallic's with amazing prints vibrant colours and gorgeous textures. Each garment was accompanied with 'Marc's' uber cute platform shoe/boot pushing that dirty girl grunge vibe that extra bit further and we loved every minute of it with the models all wearing faux dreadlocks to finish off the overall runway look. Marc Jacobs is known for his innovative, bold and unapologetic collections & designs and this collection was no different an absolute genius of our time and a true true fashion legend;
'Marc' we Ja'dore you.
