This Christmas the action movie of the century will be coming to a cinema near you, Assassin's Creed released on the 14th December is based on the video game of the same name and is set in the same universe. The movie follows the life of Callum Lynch a criminal rescued from execution, forced to take part in the Animus Project he revisits memories of his ancestor's and is fed knowledge and power to confront his ancestors enemies in the present day. The movie directed by Justin Kurzel stars Michael Fassender, Marion Cotillard, Brendan Gleeson, Jeremy Irons and many more, Assassin's Creed looks to be a big box office smash for the end of the year grossing in some mega bucks. A great watch for the family.

The movie is based around the seasonal holiday of Christmas where all is jolly and peace is brought among the world that is until a particular santa in the heart of Chicago decides to steal all the proceeds from a charity with a helping hand from his mother and his not so friendly sidekick. The comical movie hits our screens in November and comes just in time for the seasonal holidays to spread laughter and tears throughout the end of the year, we hope its as good as the first #fingerscrossed.

#TBT Vogue December cover 1990

Today our Throwback Thursday is the 1990 edition of Decembers Vogue cover which featured model 'Christy Turlington'. 'Christy' wearing Versace unitard featuring beaded vogue covers. Shot by 'Patrick Demarchelier' this cover oozed high glamour at its finest and was the first Christmas cover of the 90's era. Supermodel/actress 'Christy Turlington' has graced the cover of Vogue since the 80's and is a reoccurring face up to the present date her last cover being July 2014.

The classic children's book which we have all read in our youth 'The BFG', written by "Roald Dahl" is coming to life during 2016 something we have all been waiting for since we were kids. The movie is directed by none other than "Steven Speilberg" and stars 'Ruby Barnhill, Bill Hader and Mark Rylance' and is set for release in July 2016. The plot of the film tells the story of 'Sophie' who seeks adventure however was unprepared for the adventure she was about to embark on. 'The BFG' or also know as (the big friendly giant) and 'Sophie' develop an enchanted friendship and with the help of her royal highness herself The Queen Of England they set out to capture the evil man eating giants who have been invading London. This film is perfect for a family day out with the kids and to be honest looks like it may even be a hit for the big Kids at heart such as myself; one to definatley look out for in 2016.

The film shows the attack of the USS Enterprise by an army of powerful and unstoppable aliens. The Enterprise led by 'Captain James T' now completely destroyed find themselves stranded on a new and unknown planet, trying to find their way home they run into some unexpected enemies. The film stars 'Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, John Cho Sofia Boutella' and many more. The highly anticipated movie is set for release July 2016 and judging by the trailer it looks like this movie will take us on a roller-coaster of a lifetime giving us great action packed fight scenes, amazing CGI effects and set design and costumes to die for; an assured watch for 2016.

The superhero blockbuster stars 'Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Olivia Nunn' and many many more big names. X-men Apocalypse is the ninth installment of the series and by the looks of it this surely will not be the last. The plot of the movie depicts the story of the first ever mutant known to mankind, Apocalypse, whos was awakened after thousands of years. With sight of the new world he makes it his mission to recruit a powerful team of mutants to destroy planet earth and create a new world order. Its up to "Professor X" and the "X-men" to stop the evil plans of the mutant, but a dangerous road lies ahead of them and not all may make it back.

Today our Throwback Thursday goes to the incredible 70's group 'Boney M' with their classic track "Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord". The group rose to fame in the late 1970's after being discovered by record producer and song writer 'Frank Farian', the name of the group came from watching Australian detective show "Boney". Their Christmas single "Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord" was released in 1978 and dominated the UK charts during the Christmas spending 8 weeks at No:1 The hit Christmas single went to No: 85 in the Billboard Hot 100. The notorious Christmas single is a worldwide classic receiving airplay every year throughout the seasonal period and reminding us of the magical aura Christmas brings.

Since were all getting in the festive spirit we wanted to make our Throwback Thursday an iconic one with the iconic "All I Want For Christmas" by 'Mariah Carey'. The 1994 classic was written by 'Mariah' and 'Walter Afanasieff' and was released as the first single from her first Christmas album titled "Merry Christmas". All I Want For Christmas became an annual anthem receiving radio and television play as well as live performances from the queen herself. The mesmerizing Christmas hit has become the most popular and played Christmas song of the decade in the United Kingdom; Rolling stone also ranked it fourth on their greatest Rock n Roll Christmas Songs making this classic Christmas jam one for the history books.
